My First Post

OK, lesson number one. I started typing my first post, blabbing not so eloquently about how easy it was to use the Blogger software and how user friendly it was. Then I went to preview my post without saving it first and lost it. Lesson learned -- save, save, save. When working on a blog we've developed at my library I often create a word document first, save it, and then copy it to the blog. Not a bad idea. I thought that I was so advanced and that this first thing would be easy for me. As they say, pride goeth before a fall. I know that I have much to learn. I also believe that it's better to try and make mistakes and accept that we live in a perpetual beta environment than to not take the risks inherent in trying new things. I'm sure I'll have some company in feeling a bit like a fish out of water. At least I like to think so.
